Want to try something different while you are visiting Las Vegas? Do what I do almost every day. Take a fight to Red Rock, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, or Canyonlands. In less than an hour and a half you can cruise the Grand Canyons West Rim, Lake Mead, and Boulder Dam. In half a day you can experience Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. If you have a full day you can go all the way to Canyonlands and back through Lake Powell, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon Corridors.
I fly my own 2008 Aviat Husky A1C Bush Plane, from Henderson Executive Airport almost every day, weather permitting, to one of the above destinations. I do it for fun but it’s the inspiration I get out of each flight that really gets me going. I have been in the Las Vegas area since 2008 and the flying out here is the best I have ever experienced. I encourage anyone, pilot or non pilot, to get the ultimate natural high by taking a flight out through this magnificent landscape. It will be the highlight of your trip and you will be talking about it for years to come.
Sincerely,
Gary Peterson
